Two pricing modes
Every bundle uses one of two rules. Press the button below and watch what each one does when you change an item's price in your store.
The bundle total is the sum of live variant prices. Your catalog moves; the bundle moves with it.
You set one number. The allocation keeps the cart at exactly that number, whatever the catalog does.
What it does
Bundles are the cleanest way to raise average order value. BundleForge makes them native.
Shoppers add one product; Shopify's Cart Transform expands it into real component items in the cart. No scripts, no checkout hacks, no duplicate SKUs.
Allow a curated subset of variants per item. Shoppers pick size, color, scent on the product page. Combinations that are out of stock drop away as they choose, and Add to cart stays locked until the bundle is complete.
Configurable bundles don't have to send shoppers to the product page. BundleForge takes over your theme's own quick add button and opens the picker in a modal, so a bundle can be configured and added without leaving the grid.
Show every item's options together, or switch to one product per step, with progress dots and a final review screen showing the full contents and total before Add to cart.
A fixed price is distributed across components with no rounding drift. The money math is written and tested by people who find a penny out personally offensive. The cart charges exactly the number you set.
The quick add modal inherits your theme's own popover styling, down to corner radius, border, and shadow. Everything else lives in the theme editor: buttons, dropdowns or swatches, your colors, fonts, and labels. No code either way.
Change a component's price in Shopify and every bundle using it syncs itself. Delete one and the bundle is flagged Needs attention in the admin, instead of quietly breaking on the storefront.
Expansion produces real line items, so each component's inventory decrements correctly and orders show what was actually sold. Two bundles charge exactly 2×.
Built to fail safe
“A missing expansion is a visible failure. A wrong charge is a silent one.”
That line is from BundleForge's source code, and it's the rule the whole app is built around. If a bundle's configuration is ever invalid, it simply doesn't expand. The shopper sees a line that never opened up, and nobody is charged a price you didn't set. BundleForge never silently falls back from a fixed price to component prices.
On a real store
Setup
Name it and BundleForge creates the bundle product for you, published to your Online Store, with no trip to the Products page. Add the items with Shopify's native picker, not IDs or CSVs.
Component prices that follow your catalog, or one fixed price. A “distribute total” helper splits a target across slots for you.

No. Expansion happens in the cart via Shopify's native Cart Transform, so any theme works untouched. The optional storefront configurator is a theme app block you add and remove from the theme editor in one click.
It fails safe: the bundle doesn't expand, and the shopper sees an line that never expanded instead of being charged a wrong amount. BundleForge never silently substitutes one pricing mode for another.

No. The higher “compare at” price you set on a product is for display only in both modes, and never creates a discount.
