Two pricing modes
Every bundle uses one of two rules. Press the button below and watch what each one does when you change an item's price in your store.
The bundle total is the sum of live variant prices. Your catalog moves; the bundle moves with it.
You set one number. Cent-precise allocation keeps the cart at exactly that number, whatever the catalog does.
What it does
Shoppers add one product; Shopify's Cart Transform expands it into real component items in the cart. No scripts, no checkout hacks, no duplicate SKUs.
Allow a curated subset of variants per item. Shoppers pick size, color, scent on the product page — sold-out combinations constrain live, and add-to-cart stays locked until the bundle is complete.
A fixed price is distributed across components with no rounding drift — money math written and unit-tested by people who find off-by-a-penny personally offensive. The cart charges exactly the number you set.
The configurator is a theme app block: buttons, dropdowns, or color swatches; your colors, radius, and labels; optional savings line — all without touching code.
Expansion produces real line items, so each component's inventory decrements correctly and orders show what was actually sold. Two bundles charge exactly 2×.
Compare-at prices are display-only in both modes. They never leak into bundle math and never create accidental discounts.
Fail-safe by design

That line is from BundleForge's source code, and it's the rule the whole app is built around. If a bundle's configuration is ever invalid, it simply doesn't expand — the shopper sees an un-expanded line, and nobody is charged a price you didn't set. BundleForge never silently falls back from a fixed price to component prices.

No. Expansion happens in the cart via Shopify's native Cart Transform — any theme, untouched. The optional storefront configurator is a theme app block you add and remove from the theme editor in one click.
It fails safe: the bundle doesn't expand, and the shopper sees an un-expanded line instead of being charged a wrong amount. BundleForge never silently substitutes one pricing mode for another.
